16 Elite Win at AAU Nationals!

Congratulations to our 16 Elite team for taking 1st Place in Emerald at the AAU National Championship!


The team went 7-6 during the tournament.


Competition started on June 25. The girls came out strong defeating Columbia SC Starlings (26-24, 25-20) but came up short against Legends 16 National Royal (24-26, 17-25) and Asics Munciana Dragons (14-25, 13-25) placing them 3rd in pool play for Day 1.


Day 2 the girls started play in the afternoon and fought hard against some tough competition, placing 3rd in pool play. Defeating The Edge 16 Red (25-19, 25-16) but coming short against Club Fusion 16 Crimson in 3 sets (13-25, 27-25, 12-15) and BCVC 16 Black in 2 sets (15-25, 11-25).


The girls started out Day 3 strong with a tough match, playing hard, but lost in a close game to Upward Stars South Atlanta (25-23, 28-26). However, they came back and won game two that day against DeSoto VB Club (25-18, 25-17) but lost their last game to Miami Xtreme in 3 sets (21-25, 25-23, 12-15).


The final day of the tournament has come and the team is in the Emerald Division. They have fought hard for 3 days straight and came together and fought even harder to win 4 games in a row! MN North (25-13, 25-18), Vital Royal (25-20, 17-25, 19-17), IL Juniors (25-21, 25-21), Club Naco (25-19, 27-25).


We are extremely proud of all the girls and how hard they have worked all season long to get to this point. Congratulations to our 16 Elite Team & Coaches!!
